Warleigh near Bath
The clients had an extremely rough and steep bank behind the house, covered with brambles and scrub.
As the bank had stunning views of the Limpley Stoke valley, they wanted to create paths and sitting areas to take advantage of the views.
We cleared the bank and created a winding path with three separate sitting areas and a stream and waterfall in to a pond at the base of the cliff.
The planting was extremely difficult because of shallow soil and rock. So we used specific mediterranean drought tolerant plants including many different grasses. All of these plants would attract butterflies, bees and other insects which are a special interest of the client.
The client is thrilled with the result.
